"I don't do well in front of the camera", is something I'm hearing more often these days.

Finding the love in relationships and capturing the sitter's 'good side'  is part of the  joy of portrait photography.  And making nervous sitters feel at ease is so rewarding.  That moment when they look into the lens and tell you 'this is me, this is who I am, capture it'.  If three people can do it simultaneously, it's a added bonus.

I'm also finding that people prefer to see themselves in colour rather than black and white; which says a lot for the human psyche.

A sweltering Texan September afternoon meant we held our mini session in cool of the studio.

The love this fabulous lady feels for her grandchildren is palpable from the second you meet them.  The fact that she frequently travels half way across the globe to see them just reinforces that fact.  And now they all have some loving images to look at, smiling back at them at every day, no matter how far away they may be from one another.
